Description
The Wand of the Necromancer is a singular hand-crafted ritual instrument designed around the imagery of bone, memory, mortality, and communion across thresholds.

A naturally shaped pear-wood shaft forms the body of the wand. Deer-bone elements travel along the wood toward a substantial bone assembly at the working end, where dark basalt is set into the structure. The opposite end terminates in a bison tooth secured with tightly wrapped steel wire.

The result is deliberately organic rather than geometrically perfect: wood bends, bone articulates, and each material retains something of its original character.

This is not a mass-produced approximation of an occult object.

It is an artifact.

Symbolic Character
The materials create a particularly strong dialogue.

Wood is living structure: growth, continuity, and the memory carried within rings and grain.

Bone is what remains when much else has passed away. In ritual symbolism it may serve as a reminder of ancestry, mortality, endurance, and the physical traces left behind by living beings.

Basalt is stone born from volcanic fire and cooled into solidity—a fitting material for workings concerned with deep earth, transformation, and things carried upward from beneath the surface.

Steel binds the composition together, contributing the familiar folk-magick associations of iron with strength, boundaries, and protection.

The bison tooth at the base adds another expression of embodied strength and animal presence while providing a visual counterweight to the bone structure at the wand’s working end.

Together, the materials suggest a tool concerned less with theatrical notions of “raising the dead” and more with memory, ancestry, liminality, and respectful engagement with what lies beyond ordinary perception.

Because several elements project from the wand, store it where the bone components cannot be crushed or snagged.
