Gearskull Candle Holder/Incense Burner

Description
Gearskull is a one-of-a-kind candle holder and cone incense burner assembled from reclaimed machine parts, a sealed rat skull, and a finished wooden base.

Layered steel gears form the central platform, giving the piece a compact, mechanical profile, while the rat skull rests at the front beneath a vintage button set like a tiny ceremonial jewel. The result is equal parts industrial relic, curiosity-cabinet object, and functional ritual tool.

It looks like something recovered from a workshop where the dead were expected to keep regular hours.

Use
Gearskull can be used as a candle holder or cone incense burner.

The central metal recess accommodates a candle, while the inner dish may also be used for cone incense.

Its compact footprint makes it well suited to altars, shelves, desks, or other spaces where you want something functional that also looks like it has a backstory nobody is willing to explain.

The bottom is cushioned with felt pads to help protect furniture and altar surfaces.

Care
Dust gently with a soft cloth or brush.

Avoid prolonged moisture, extreme heat, soaking, or harsh chemical cleaners. Natural bone, wood, and metal components will age differently over time, and the machine parts may develop additional patina.

Always use Gearskull on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.

Never leave burning candles or incense unattended.

When burning cone incense, allow the metal components and ash to cool completely before handling.

Keep flames away from the skull and other decorative components, and do not allow candles to burn down far enough for the flame to contact the structure.

Use incense in a well-ventilated area.

Keep away from children, pets, paper, curtains, dried botanicals, and other flammable materials.
